•     Screening of producing stains for new antibiotics
•     Selection and creation of a collection of strains of microorganisms - producers of biologically active metabolites
•     Investigation of principles of production of biologically active metabolites
•     Isolation, purification and identification of biologically active compounds
•     Structure elucidation
•     Development of novel approaches to screening, isolation and structure elucidation of new natural compounds

Major Achievements:

•     Over 110 antibiotics were isolates and identified
•     Structure of 48 new antibiotics were elucidated
•     Industrial production processes for 13 antibiotics were developed
